G20 summit meetings
The financial crisis we’re still in is devastating to lots of people in the world. Even if we might not feel it that much, banks and lots of institutions suffer great losses because of it. The taxes and food prices grow and the incomes are diminishing. People world wide are wondering if there is anybody out there to deal with this kind of situations, because governments seem helpless in front of this big enemy which is the decline of economy.
So is there someone who deals with this kind of problems? The answer is yes, there is. G20 is the association that deals with economical problems that affect the entire planet. But what exactly is G20? It is an association of twenty of the world’s Central Bank Governors and also Finance Ministers who have the responsibility of discussing every financial problem the world has to deal with.
They are able to find different solutions to economical problems and they can help development world wide. This association started its activity in 1999 because of the risks of an economical crisis. They discuss all the problems and find the best solution they can come up with. There are certain G20 summit meetings, where all of these economy gurus are congregating and talking the most important issues that affect the world economy. The first summit took place on fifteenth and sixteenth of December in Germany. This meeting in Berlin was coordinated by the finance ministers from Canada and the hosting country. Since it was established, G20 managed to deal with a few problems. They resolved the financial system abuse by managing to reduce it and talked about the growth policies. Also, there was an agreement in prohibiting and managing to stop the terrorist agencies from getting any kind of finances. The secretariat of G20 always changes its location every year, and in 2010 the headquarters of this association are in the Republic of Korea.
It is good to know that we are not dealing all by ourselves with this world wide economic issue and that there are people who represent us in organizations such as G20, where all of the world economical problems are being discussed and there are people who think about real solutions. Of course that such a massive financial crisis can’t just pass in a few months, but people are starting to find the right answers and the end of this world wide crisis is close.
